Q&A: I want to read to lonely nursing home elderly people as a chartiable act – would it be allowed?
I want to do something helpful for the elderly and my idea is to visit one person on a weekly basis and read the newspaper or some periodical to them and discuss with them, as a way to give them some social interaction if they are lonely. Do you think this would be a good idea as a charitable act and would the nursing home sallow that?
